Focus
Where to find it: Sidebar > Work > Focus (this is also your landing page after login)
The Focus page is your daily home base. It answers the question: “What do I need to do right now?”
This page is hidden for the Accounting role.
Two Modes
Focus has two modes, depending on your role:
My Work (Everyone)
This is the default view for all users. It includes:
Start Working — Jump straight into logging time. You’ll see shortcuts to recent tasks so you can quickly pick up where you left off (“Jump Back In”).
My Tasks — A prioritized list of work items (assignments) assigned to you for the current week. Items are sorted by priority so the most urgent work is at the top.
Completing items — Click the checkbox on a work item to mark it done. If the item is linked to a task, a time-logging modal opens automatically so you can capture your final hours and notes before closing it out.
Team & Business (Managers and Admins Only)
Below the personal section, managers and admins see an additional panel:
Financial Health — Real-time view of “Ready to Bill” (unbilled work in progress) and “Total Pipeline” (value of active and proposal projects).
Operational Risk — A count of overdue deliverables that need attention.
Upcoming Milestones — Milestones due in the next 14 days, grouped by project with client context. These come from milestone dates set on task lists.
AI Insights — On-demand analysis of priorities and financial questions. Click to load — it’s not pre-loaded, so the page stays fast.
In Personal Mode, the Team & Business section is hidden.
Tips
- Focus loads fast because the AI features are lazy-loaded — they only activate when you click them
- If your task list looks empty, check that you have assignments on the Workload planner for this week
- The “Jump Back In” shortcuts show your most recently used tasks, so they get more useful over time
