Projects
Where to find it: Sidebar > Work > Projects
Projects are the central unit of work in Cherp. Every client engagement — from a branding package to a retainer — is tracked as a project.
Project Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Classic | Standard fixed-fee engagement with defined deliverables |
| Keystone | Large hospitality branding project, linked to a hotel intelligence profile |
| Retainer | Recurring monthly work with hour allocations and overage rates |
| Small project | Lightweight engagement with minimal structure |
| Internal | Cooper House internal work (not tied to a client) |
See Project Types for detailed descriptions of each.
Project Statuses
Projects use a simplified status model:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Proposal | Being quoted or negotiated — not yet contracted |
| Active | Contracted and underway |
| Complete | All deliverables finished |
| Closed | Fully wrapped and archived |
The full 9-status lifecycle (draft, quoted, contracted, etc.) applies to Deliverables, not projects.
The Projects List
The Projects page shows all projects in a searchable, filterable table. You can:
- Search by project name or client
- Filter by status (active, proposal, complete, closed)
- Sort columns by clicking headers
- Click any row to open the project detail page
My Projects vs. All Projects
If you’re in Personal Mode, the list defaults to “My Projects” — projects you’re assigned to or have logged time on. You can toggle to “All Projects” to see everything.
Contractors always see only projects they’ve been assigned to.
