Team Management
Where to find it: Sidebar > People > Team
The Team page is where you manage Cooper House team members — their roles, hourly rates, weekly capacity, and project assignments.
This page is only visible to managers (Admin and PM roles).
Viewing the Team
The Team page lists all active team members with their name, email, role, and key details. Archived users are hidden by default.
User Fields
Each team member has the following information:
| Field | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Name | The person’s display name throughout Cherp |
| Their login email address | |
| Role | Their permission level — Admin, PM, Employee, Contractor, or Accounting |
| Hourly Cost | What Cooper House pays per hour (used in profitability calculations) |
| Capacity Hours | Weekly hours available for work (used in the Workload Planner) |
| Color | A color assigned to this person for calendar views and charts |
Adding a Team Member
Click Add Team Member and fill in their details. The role you assign determines what they can see and do throughout Cherp — see Roles & Permissions for the full breakdown.
Editing a Team Member
Click any team member to update their information. You can change their role, hourly cost, capacity, or any other field.
Archiving Users
When someone leaves Cooper House, archive them instead of deleting them. Archiving keeps their historical data intact — time entries, project assignments, and other records — while removing them from active lists and dropdowns.
Archived users can’t log in. Their past work remains visible on project timelines and reports.
Project Assignments
Contractors need to be explicitly assigned to projects before they can see or log time on them. On the Team page, you can manage project assignments for any contractor.
Each assignment includes an access level that controls what the contractor can do on that project:
| Access Level | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Time Only | Log time entries on the project, but can’t see project details or finances |
| Contributor | Log time and view project details, deliverables, and tasks |
| Admin | Full access to the project, including financial information |
Employees and managers don’t need project assignments — they can see all projects based on their role.
