Timeline Tab

Where to find it: Project Detail Page > Timeline tab

The Timeline tab shows a Gantt-style view of the project’s phases and milestones.

What You’ll See

  • Phase bars — Each task list (deliverable phase) appears as a horizontal bar from its start date to its end date
  • Milestone markers — Diamond-shaped markers at milestone dates. Hover to see the milestone label and date
  • Overlap warnings — Yellow “Overlap” badges appear when a milestone date exceeds the next phase’s start date

Setting Milestones (Managers)

Click the flag icon on a task list header in the Deliverables tab to open the inline milestone editor. You can set:

  • Phase Start Date — When this phase begins
  • Milestone Date — The key deadline for this phase
  • Milestone Label — A name for the milestone (e.g., “Discovery Presentation”, “Design Review”)

Common Milestone Sequences

Branding projects: Deposit > Kickoff Meeting > Workshop > Discovery Presentation > Visual Identity Presentation

Website projects: Deposit > Kickoff > Home Page Design > Full Design Presentation > Completed Development

Push Downstream

When you adjust a milestone and it creates a conflict with the next phase, you’ll see a Push button. Clicking it shifts all downstream phases’ start dates and milestone dates by the overlap amount, keeping the schedule aligned.

  • Schedule — Studio-wide Gantt chart across all projects
  • Deliverables — Where milestone dates are set
